CIVILIAN ACTIVE SHOOTER AWARENESS SEMINAR

With so much violence in today's world happening at a seemingly increasing rate coupled with Gun Free Zones, Churches, Malls, Home, Work and anywhere else a person feels free to break the law and take your life we still have the individual responsibility to defend ourselves and others.

This seminar features strategies for deterring, detecting, delaying and possibly defeating an active shooter.

Lessons learned from past terrorist attacks and active shooter incidents that occurred across the US will also be discussed.

An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area.

Active shooter situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly.  Because active shooter situations are often over within 10 to 15 minutes, before law enforcement arrives on the scene, individuals must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with the situation.

Our Civilian Active Shooter Awareness Seminar is designed to prepare teachers, office personnel, congregations, or individuals how to react to an active shooter.

This seminar will provide statistical data and valuable information on how to respond in an active shooter incident.

You will learn what to do, whether to engage or not, how to seek cover, how and when to contact 911 or law enforcement and what information is needed while help is arriving.

Knowing the basics can be the difference. This course will not show how law enforcement responds to these incidents, but it will aid you and others around you in knowing what to do until you can safely get away or defeat the threat.

Our seminar is appropriate for a variety of organizations including your place of work, schools and campuses, office buildings and places of worship.

ARMED CIVILIAN RESPONSE TO THE ACTIVE SHOOTER (23 HOURS / TRAINING WITH INTENT)

This is a 23 hour intensive scenario-based and live fire course designed for the armed citizen to respond to an active shooter event. This course is designed to develop the skills and tactics used to identify, act on, or contain the active shooter.

An active shooter is an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined or populated area. In most cases, active shooters use firearm(s) and there is no pattern or method to their selected victims. Because active shooters situations are often over within minutes the armed civilian must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with the active shooter. If the statistics are correct, two-thirds of these events are stopped by either the legally armed citizen or police officer.

In order to conduct this amount of training the classes have been broken down into several evolutions. Three evening sessions (3 to 3 1/2 hours) through out the week and two days on the weekends ( 6 to 8 hours days).

Prerequisite: Responsible local CCW and IROCC (Illinois Retired Officers Concealed Carry) holders

COST:$600.00

YOUTH FIREARMS SAFETY CLASS (10 OR OLDER)

In a home where guns are kept, the degree of safety a child has rest squarely on the parents. Parents who accept the responsibility to learn, practice and teach gun safety rules will ensure their child's safety to a much greater extend than those who do not. It is critical for your child to know what to do if he or she encounters a firearm anywhere, and it is the parents responsibility to provide that training.

There are more firearms in our homes today then ever before so we need to educate our children on the basic firearms safety rules, make them aware of firearms consequences. With this, we eliminate the curiosity factor.

This class will teach our children the do's and don'ts of handling firearms. At the end of the classroom portion your children will be given instruction by experienced instructors on proper gun handling skills and time on the simulator.
